Pseudagrion microcephalum (top), Agriocnemis nana (bottom)

Not a particularly good shot, I know. But what makes it interesting is while mating, suddenly the blue damselfly pushed its mate's head underwater, and eventually the whole body was submerged. 5 minutes later, the mate submerged. What a weird mating ritual. Any damselfly mating experts care to tell me what went on?
