I came across this piece of petrified wood in Cross County, Arkansas when I was a cub scout. I was looking at rocks in a creek when I picked this one up and threw it back into the water. It hit a rock and made a high-pitched "plink" sound….it struck me as odd so I scrambled in after it. Glad I did!
