Dark-eyed Junco--A Western Race

Benton County, AR

Not a Slate-colored. Maybe an Oregon, though it would be a dull Oregon….possibly the intergrade cismontanus. Regardless, it definitely has characteristics of one of the western races of Dark-eyed Junco!

This was one of 4 western(ish) juncos in Benton County today. 2 were striking Oregons and then 2 other suspicious juncos.
