Rafting the Penobscot River

The West Branch of the Penobscot River in Maine offers world class white water with several class IV and V rapids. The river runs through spectacular scenery with Katahdin, Maine's tallest peak and the terminus of the Appalachian Trail, looming over the river. Bald eagles soar overhead, and moose have been seen wading in the water.
