We began our trip in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Flew from there to Luteritz on the coast. Visited Kolmanskop, a deserted diamond mine. Then on to Sossusvlei with its salt pans and large red dunes. We caught sunrise at Deadvlei and took a sunrise balloon ride over the desert. Heading north we saw flamingos at Walvis Bay, spent a few nights in Swakopmund, took a desert tour. Stayed at Moani Mountain Camp with its bouldered landscape and saw the ancient petroglyphs at Twyfelontein. We moved on to Opuwo were we visited a Himba village.
