1-26-04 Old House

I love old houses and sheds. I always try to imagine what kind of family once lived there, and what all went on in the house.
I see this one on a long country road I take to work every day. We had ice in the trees today and it was freezing so I just popped off a couple of pics. Unless I think of something better around the house here, this one will be PoD.

Mark, nice job. I like this old house a lot more than my shed. Good work!

Me too as in loving old houses and such. This is the type of place I would relish exploring. I like the blk/white which is even the more alluring.

When you have time do view my Accidental Tourist PAGE 5 gallery. You will like what I found:)

VERY good point Ray. It was a really dark and dismal day. I was very surprised it came out so light, even in the color version. I suppose what happened was the meter told the shutter to slow way down, and as a result I got more light with less sharpness. I need to go back on a sunny day with or with a tripod and go to manual. It's right on the road but there is a closed gate in front of it. I may hop over and go on a quick explore!

Yes, I love this too. I'm really fond of such 'neglect' but often these places are hidden away on somebody's land. You either cannot get there or cannot see them at all! I have a beauty near me which I hope to have another go at soon.
I see this was taken at 1/3 sec and it suffers as a result(don't worry one on 1/200 today I had shake on!). It would be lovely if you could recreate this on a brighter day to regain the sharpness.

This is VERY cool! nice choice for the black and white here. I love the tilted angle! VERY nice one, John-Mark!!

Well chosen and well done. I have the exact same thoughts when I take those shots.
