Anyone Remember "Poll Parrot" Shoes

This sign is quite a nostalgia trip. I remember going here to "The Bootery" for Poll Parrots when I was a kid. They were heavily advertised with special prizes and such. The sign still stands on Pryor Street.

This is interesting. We just purchased a small hometown shoe store in Hastings, Minnesota and have acquired an approximate 4 foot poll parrot made out of wood from the 1920's--she is electrified--she nods her head up and down when the switch is turned on, 12 wooden cutout poll parrot characters, a full length fun house style mirror with Poll Parrot Shoes printed on the top of the mirror, two poll parrot benches--one having been used and has considerable paint loss and never put together but may have some worm holes/insect damage from years of storage. We have been trying and trying to find out some info on these items--such as dates of manufacture--we believe them to be from the 20's, how many pairs of shoes needed to be purchased or ordered to have the privilege of having these items for the store, etc. etc. We would also like to know the approximate value. Any ideas where we can go to obtain this info? Thanks for letting me post.
