I thought the coloured sign was a bit dull (the lighting conditions, not you!)but by making it sepia, that "failed" red with a grotty grey sky is out of the window and this hides that and instead gives an enjoyable image, one that is worthy!
This is a sepia image of the "Majestic" sign to the left. Whaddya think? I don't want to overdo the sepia concept, but it sure looks good on something old or "classic."
