1-8-04 Royal Cigar Company Sign, Atlanta GA

The sign of the long gone Royal Cigar Company remains at the corner of Forsyth and Walton streets. In "the day" the sign was really neat at night. The holes are not bullet holes, but they once held light bulbs which gave the effect of smoke trickling from the pipe. It is something I always looked for as a kid when we would ride through downtown at night. I wish someone would take an interest in this thing and restore it.

Nice photo. There are also some old advertisement hanging outside the buildings in Hong Kong. Many people who have already closed their shops will not remove their advertisement. The government has to spend public money to remove the dangerous ones.
