I can't claim to have seen much of it, because we turned back after maybe 10 miles, but we did make three stops, two to assess the possibility of driving into the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area (we decided we couldn't), and one to eat lunch in a creek-bed. One stop had a sign, East Creek Day Use Area; I was enchanted by the rocks there.
