A little-used mountain road leads past a locked gate; we had permission to walk into what is essentially wilderness to enjoy the once-logged forest of spruce and hemlock...and the mushrooms. We have no idea what names to put to any of those except the corals (Ramaria), the occasional Boletus, and the Amanita muscaria.
