Rye Patch State Recreation Area

Along the Humboldt River in the middle of Western Nevada is Rye Patch State Recreation Area, a lovely place to unwind after a hot day of driving on Interstate 80.
Two campgrounds welcome guests for fishing and watercraft recreation. Turkeys, deer, pelicans, and other waterfowl either wander through or fly over the campground, and apparently no raccoons come to tip over the garbage cans.
