Very close to Denver, this easy hiking trail appeared nearly overrun on our first visit there, an after-Christmas getaway. The small parking lot was full, and two or three spillover stretches along the narrow highway were also. However, we had arrived at mid-day, which gave some of the hikers time to finish and depart as we were eating lunch before starting out.
