Maple Grove Hot Springs

Well south of Grace, Idaho, on a funky dirt road dug into a steep canyon alongside a reservoir that for a few miles, widens the Bear River, a geothermal belt opens up into a small, dependable hot spring where an enterprising family has built a series of pools and a campground to capture the dollars and attention of enthusiasts of a variety of sports....soaking, fishing, boating, hiking, skiing, hunting. A short way south of that is a narrow, nicely-maintained BLM campground with reservoir access; further south, there's another campground, and finally a day-use park by the dam.
