At the state park campground on Lake Walcott's northern shore in Minidoka County, Idaho, one can, in the right seasons, enjoy the glorious Idaho outdoors unimpeded by other visitors. We would arrive at midnight, tour the empty parking lots, choose our own favorite spot, and revel in the quiet. Owls by night and robins by day would greet us. Loons would dance in spring and yodel in autumn, just as in the movies. I would wander for hours with my camera (and extra data card and batteries). Now, alone, it's even easier to lose myself in the splendor.
