Above this lake are two glacial tarns much more lushly surrounded with alpine vegetation. This one, at 9100' elevation, gets heavy use from both campers and day-trippers bent on enjoying a quick fishing experience. The entry road is easy and smooth, albeit fairly steep and narrow.
