A mecca for rock climbers, kokanee salmon fishers, and narrow-gauge railroaders, all in one long string of three reservoirs. We saw the topmost level only, except where the road passed near a dam or two. We took one walk, on a trail that isn't even claimed among the 7 highlighted trails in the park, from a roadside rest area labeled "Crystal;" we think that's because the trail's viewpoints let us look a long, long way down to see Crystal Reservoir, which is one of the three in the NRA. In later years, we have come into it from the east and lower in elevation, but with no stops for photos of the reservoirs.
