Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute

A few miles outside of Fort Davis, Texas, the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute offers hiking trails, a splendid hilltop geology exhibit, an expansive garden of labeled plants, a cactus-packed greenhouse, and a lovely bird blind. Inspired and staffed by Sul Ross University scientists, its aim is to introduce people to the uniqueness of the large Chihuahuan Desert.
