Basin and Range National Monument

A Bureau of Land Management park, Basin and Range is difficult to find and a bit of a driving challenge once found.
Look for the YELLOW cattle guard on the west side of the highway just after the settlement of Hiko in Lincoln County, Nevada.
Then just enjoy the views and the petroglyphs. There's a campground with a few spaces, but we never found it, and there was no one else around
to ask about it. We did enjoy some fabulous sky and mountaintop views, heard Air Force jets in nighttime dogfighting exercises,
got snowed on a bit, and enjoyed one batch of petroglyphs.
