Canyons of the Ancients National Monument is a Bureau of Land Management property in the Four Corners region of Colorado, that we explored after leaving Hovenweep National Monument. Down the road, we found the elaborate Visitor Center for Canyons of the Ancients; somehow a larger amount of money seems to have found its way to that building than is evident in most such centers; it made for an impressive exhibit. Sand Canyon (West) showed off nicely on its own!
