This immediately made me think of Vermeer's The Geographer. The beautiful globe is the connecting link. It also reminds me of a room set up in the Metropolitan Museum in NY dedicated to the Renaissance. This is a wonderfully photographed scene with softened light bouncing off so many hard surfaces -- walls and table. And the design of the abbey windows is gorgeous indeed.

Impressive…The treatment is a little too heavy maybe, but the composition of the scene is really good and this unreal light gives the picture a little magic appearance and after all I do like the final result.
