Nanyuki hadn't seen rain for months ~ until I started to speak at the Vineyard Leadership Seminar, that is! Just a few minutes into my talk, (in a classroom with a corrugated iron roof), the heavens opened and it literally came down in buckets!

Well, not actually 'literal' buckets, but very hard indeed! So hard, in fact, that although I kept raising my voice louder and louder, I eventually had to stop and call for an unscheduled tea-break while we waited for the rain to stop.

Fortunately for me, (though sadly for the local community), it didn't last long. These puddles are all that was left about an hour after the seminar finished.
