There's a great sense of both movement and calm in this shot, Chris - I like the counterpoise between the rushing water at the bottom of shot with the much more peaceful and reflective top half. Beautifully composed with the weirs stepping up to the flat pond at the top: there's a nice 'bleed over' of the blue of the sky into the pond, too: well seen, and well taken! V

A lovely scene, but I'm trying to think what the purpose of these weirs is! Here, water, when we get it, is so often uncontrollable ..... currently people are being rescued from submerged cars and out of trees with fifty feet of raging water around them; six months ago, we were in the throes of the "worst drought in history" on very strict water restrictions. Nothing like your photo is ever seen here ...... great work, and fascinating and different for me. Well done.
