Many activities in Bhutanese life are governed by an astrologer:
when to leave on a journey, when to marry, what problems may
occur in the later life of a newborn child, etc. Astrologers
manipulate the Bhutanese calendar to avoid bad times - there
have been years with no October since it was a bad month or a
year with two Augusts since it was a good month.

This astrologer did a reading based upon the person's birth date and
offered several suggestions to offset the person's numerous bad signs.
