The By-the-Wind Sailor is a small deep-blue jelly that drift across
the ocean, often in large numbers. The orientation of the vertical sail
controls where specific animals are blown to from the central Pacific.
We had a large number of them this year on our beaches much to
the delight of our hungry shore birds.
