This photo-essay on the people of Cuba is the result of a one-week trip
organized by Santa Fe Photographic Workshops in conjunction with
Fototeca de Cuba, a Cuban organization created in 1986 for the exhibit of
contemporary Cuban photography and the preservation of the country's
photographic archives. The trip was licensed by the U.S. Treasury
Department as a people-to-people educational exchange.

It was also a great experience to become exposed to a proud people
that make the best of the life available to them.
