They are trying to protect the health care system, and other vital services such as power, both of which are extremely vulnerable. Without actions taken to control the numbers there is the possibility of both becoming overwhelmed. However unpleasant this may be, it does need to be done.

Please study carefully and take notes...there will be a pop quiz. I do hope that the experts are correct that Omicron, with its wide spread reach and infectivity, will eventually end the pandemic. v

Amazing restrictions but hang in you will see light at the end of the tunnel keep looking for daylight.

If the rest of the worlds population was vaccinated, you wouldn't have to do these measures.

That seems a bit extreme.

That is ridiculous. I feel sorry for you in Quebec. Hiding like mice. We are all vaccinated. We have medicine that works. I am in agreement with cancelling large indoor events and some crowded restaurants, but the rest is bull. We have a rise in cases but low in hospitalization. If you're over 65 and get a bad case, they give you an infusion and you are better in 48 hours.

Smart moves. Why are we not doing this and more.

Looks like Québec is being very careful. We were planning to fly up north in April to visit our family. Haven't seen them for TWO years, but to get into a plane during these difficult times is not very appealing or wise.
Walter Otto Koenig02-Jan-2022 16:39
Wow! There must be major problems for them to do this again.
