Hot air ballons fly daily over Del Mar California and float inland near my home.
While driving home one evening (nearly dark) I saw this balloon just setting down for a landing.
I caught the next turn-off and found my way to the field where the pilot was setting it down.
I happened to have my camera & tripod with me, so I set it up in time to capture the moment when the balloon pilot blasts fire into the canopy to keep it afloat while the ground team prepares to retrieve it. The blasts light the balloon up like a light bulb.
