Kelso Depot was built in 1924 by the Union Pacific Railroad . Used as a train station ,employee housing,and restaurant the building was closed down in 1985 . Reciently renovated,the depot now houses an information desk,bookstore and exhibits describing the natural world of the desert and and the people who have lived and worked there.
