The Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa was constructed for Sultan Hassan bin Mohamed bin Qalawon {Egypt king from 748 H/1351 till 752 H/ 1351 then from 755 H/1354 till he disapeared on 762H/1361} on 747 H/1356 as a mosque, religious school and hospital.
It is considered as the most outstanding Islamic monument in Egypt, and located on Mohamed Ali Sqaure at the west side of Salah ALDeen citadel, Cairo.
