Another color image I was able to scan and repair.

This shows the USS Alagash, right after we had refueled and were pulling away. The USS Brownson was leaving on the port side and can be seen in the 8x10 photographs.

I think that this image was made after the John Glenn flight, and the refueling was to get the ship back to Newport. I remember the last night at sea was rough, and we had to slow down some. Bunk chains were drawn up a link or two, to keep sleeping sailors from pitching out on the deck.
