Kadzima(Enchanted Mesa) is a very large mesa that the Acoma first settled on. The legend of this mesa says that the people were in the valley tending to the crops when a huge thunderstorm with lightning destroyed the only access ladders to the top. A grandmother and granddaughter were stranded on top of the Mesa. Rather than starve they jumped off the mesa and became butterflies before landing. Because the storm washed away all access, they resettled at Acoma Sky City.
