Diamond Head State Monument Honolulu, Oahu

The Diamond Head (DH) Summit trip is a very steep uphill trek that is rewarded with breathtaking views of Honolulu, Oahu (including Waikiki, Koko Head, Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Diamond Head Lighthouse, the Ko'olau Mountain Range to the north, and the western area of Oahu with the Waianae Mountain Range in the distance. I have included the handout that I received when I entered the State Monument which contains excellent information about the State Monument and the trek you are about to undertake (including the steep 99 steps). It was a very rewarding trek for me and I will never forget the breathtaking “Views from the Top”. The "Certificate of Achievement" award that I received for completing the trek is the last photo of the series. Enjoy the wonderful views that I would like to share with you.
