I visitited Berchtesgaden in1964 with a small group of young mining engineers.We stayed in a hotel called the Watzman I think. We visited the Salt Mine and the Eagles Nest.We also went on an electric boat on the Kenegsee. I have since revisited. What a memorable experience.

We stayed at the General Walker hotel, went to the eagles nest and had lunch. Scary bus ride to elevator.Beautiful scenery.Husband and children went in the salt mines.
