This was a good choice for a cold and windy day. Hiking along the 19 Mile Brook provided shelter and we
were plenty warm going up to Carter Hut. Marshmallow topped rocks and unusual ice formations entertained us. Hiking across
the slick pond was a bit of a challenge with the wind gusts, but we soon found shelter in the hut (no hot soup, or hot anything
for that matter). Great day and great company!
