A wonderful and snowy tour of the New Hampshire Great North Woods. 7 Moacers braved the snowy drive through two notches to reach the beautiful Balsams Hotel where winter is alive and well. Not only was the skiing great, but the food served on the trail,as well as at the hotel, was a highlight of the trip. Some of the group participated in the 10k tour and some the 15k tour, along which were multiple food stops of mouthwatering delight, prepared by the chefs at the hotel. We also enjoyed a buffet that evening that delighted the palate, and a sumptuous breakfast the next morning. Needless to say, we had plenty of calories to keep us going for the next day's ski tour, and a little ice skating too. One in the group also made some exciting telemark turns.
