This hike brought us to Mount Pierce and Mount Eisenhower–both summits
are 4000-footers, offer fantastic views, and are part of the
Presidential Range. The ridge walk between the two peaks, which also
offers views, is very interesting as it winds through scrub and among
alpine flowers. We had beautiful blue skies and views of Mt
Washington on the drive over, but clouds took and gave us some
interesting views of shrouded peaks. Some ice on the summit signs and
rocks, but generally the footing was good. A Canadian Jay came to
visit on Pierce while we ate lunch. Thanks to Bruce and Larry for a
fun day.
