A small creek flowing though Morane Park area. 2000 was a great snow year. I understand that this area burned during the fall fire, the trees along the sides of the Morane survived. A "Park" refers to a treeless meadow area by the settlers of this area. Moranes are formed by the glaciers, the collection of material (rocks and gravel) deposited off to the sides of the glacier. In this area the moranes are 200 to 500 feet high covered with pine trees today.
