Dawn in the sweet water backcountry of Wyoming. The 1860s wagon trains came through this area heading towards the South Pass area. South Pass was the only way through and over the Rocky Mountain divide for west bound travelers. The wagon ruts scar the land to this day. The sweat water name is from this being the first good water (non alkyl) since the Platte river in Nebraska. Note it was a chilly night with frost covering my sleeping bag.
