Mountain Top

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

A characteristic jumble of frost broken granite boulders litter the top of a 12,000 ft. peak amid tiny flowers in the alpine tundra. Peaks in the background are in the Never Summer Range. The horizontal scar across the far mountains is the Grand Ditch, built by Chinese laborers in the early 1900s to supply snowmelt water to Denver.
