These images were taken at the reproduction of an old Missouri town called Red Oak, rebuilt by Lowell Davis, an artist. Now called Red Oak II, it lies east of Carthage, Missouri on Highway 96. The original town no longer exists. Davis (no relation) made some money with his art work and wanted to rebuild Red Oak as he remembered it from his childhood.
