Golden Gate National Cemetary

Veterans Day honors ALL American veterans, both living and dead. Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIVING veterans for dedicated and loyal service to their country. November 11 of each year is the day that we ensure veterans know that we deeply appreciate the sacrifices they have made in their lives to keep our country free.

Well done Mark, I spent over twenty years in the Military and it was not until this moment that I realised that our Rememberence Day is the same day as Veteran's Day, mind you, my memory is getting worse, so I could well make this same post again next year! From Wikipedia:
"Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day, Armistice Day or Veterans Day) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries to remember the sacrifices of members of the armed forces and civilians in times of war, specifically since the First World War. This day, or alternative dates, are also recognised as special days for war remembrances in many non-Commonwealth countries."

I was waiting for your Veteran's Day tribute, and you didn't disappoint. A heartfelt thank-you to you and everyone else who served. Spent the day with my Dad, who fought his way across the Pacific in WWII, catching up on projects around his house.
