2010-01-07

San Bruno, CA

The thing depicted is less stationary, even the object in itself is less discernible than it used to be.
A landscape broken into and traversed in a car or an express train loses in descriptive value but gains in synthetic value;
the window of the railroad carriage or the windshield of the car, combined with the speed at which you are traveling,
have changed the familiar look of things.
Modern man registers one hundred times more impressions than did an eighteenth century artist.

Nice lines, and the star is great. Interesting change in the color of the lights.

That's what I meant; these kind of shots make me feel sick! ;-)
Absolutely stunning; great lighting and strong compo too. I like the perspective. I'm impressed that an aperture of f/4 gives such a nice star effect, normally you see this only by a far smaller aperture. V.

Handheld!!! You are amazing, and very impressive. I love the star light on the train. 14 points I do believe. That lens sure is sharp.
