From the start of the two day 38th Annual Powwow held at Stanford (more information at http://powwow.stanford.edu/. )
Native Americans in extraordinarily colorful dance costumes shared their traditional dance with us today and provided great entertainment.
~
Right place, right time, right lens, great light, and priceless dancer. This image is one from my Native Dancers Gallery and I love the seeming innocence of the dancer - like they're oblivious that anyone is watching. One I'd print.

I love it! I really need to get to a powwow. I've always wanted to go to one. My grandfather was full blooded Crow Indian - he jumped the reservation at the age of 11.

Excellent image, In this high contrast scene the wide latitude of the D3 comes through. And the long lens gives such great separation from the background. Good choices, good camera, good job.
