My Dad has 6 photos of himself in action on Okinawa in the "Sixth Marine Division" book. He says that he can't remember ever seeing a photographer the whole time he was on the island.

Mark, my photography instructor back in late 60's was a Marine Photojournalist. He didn't talk about it much though, probably too many bad memories.
