Lesser Platinum Ball Python
~
Our daughters pet, "Sid" (as in Sid Viscious because he was mean when she received him) checking out the white background in our light tent.
This is an extremely rare morph from the ball python family. Kinda pretty, huh?

For comparison, a generic Ball Python is shown at http://www.pbase.com/mkrauss/image/108981473

Wonderful shot, beautifully posed. I can say many snakes have beautiful patterning but they are one of the greatest sources of nightmares for me; have a built in terror of them. I can look at them thru glass though. Nice catch light in the eye. Linda S

Great shot. I love the DOF. How large is he? I'm guessing an inch and a half at the fattest part, and maybe two feet long?
Guest 08-Feb-2009 03:00
Lovely Mark.

Well, I don't know. If Kasi thinks he is, then ok. :) Do pythons squeeze?
