In April 1977 came the production version 200 mm f/2 IF-ED with ED glass and internal focusing. Minimum focus remained at 8.2 feet (2,5m). A gold ring denotes the ED lens and a tripod ring with carrying strap eyelets is built into the lens. This extremely fast telephoto lens is a favorite for theatre, indoor sports, and press photography, and it can be used with the 2x and 1.4x converter rings. Serial numbers begin with 176111.
