Originally the lighthouse presented unpainted yellow brick. During a renovation in 1976 - 1977 colored fiberboard panels were added to the exterior. This lighthouse functions as a rear range together with the Strukkamphuk front range. Also known as Flügger Lighthouse and Flüegge Lighthouse. Tower is open to the public.
