Noordwijk

Noordwijk aan Zee, The Netherlands

Already in 1444 fires were lit for the local fishermen. They only lit the fires when the fishermen where out on the sea. The last fisher light was extinguished in 1913. In 1922 the current lighthouse was build. Not exclusively for the fishermen but as warning light for ships in general.
