This was quite strange: leopards are nocturnal (largely), yet this one was on the prowl at midday (we followed it for about 45 minutes until 12:00 midday, when it went to lie down underneath a tree). It was not hunting, as it never tried to conceal itself. When it came down into the riverbed it did crawl for a short while, but I suspect that it was more instinct than anything else, as there were no game in the vicinity.
